CONFLICT MINERALS & REACH POLICIES

Conflict Minerals Policy

What Are Conflict Minerals?

As defined by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, conflict minerals refer to materials such as Columbite-tantalite (coltan), cassiterite, gold, wolframite, and their derivatives. These minerals are linked to financing conflict in regions such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries.

Our Commitment to Responsible Sourcing

At Vanguard Electronics, we are committed to sourcing conflict-free minerals and managing our suppliers to ensure ethical procurement. Our policy ensures that all materials used in our products are responsibly sourced, aligning with global standards for responsible supply chain management.

REACH/SVHC Declaration

Vanguard’s Environmental Responsibility

Compliance with REACH Regulations

Vanguard Electronics manufactures “articles” as defined under REACH, and all substances requiring registration have been properly handled by our suppliers. We guarantee that our products do not contain any substance intended to be released under normal conditions.

SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) Compliance

Vanguard Electronics’ products and packaging contain no more than 0.1% weight of any Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) as per ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) guidelines. We work closely with suppliers to ensure continued compliance with SVHC lists and monitor for new entries.

Supplier Documentation and MSDS Review

We continuously review Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and maintain up-to-date records from our suppliers to ensure compliance with REACH/SVHC regulations. Vanguard Electronics ensures complete transparency in all material sourcing.
